ok. now is my pro-sounding post (the first paragraph not included. if you think this is already pro sounding... 0_o to you)
lol. i've been sitting here for almost 5 minutes. i cannot think of a topic to talk about. wait a little more. thanks. =D
Life. People interpret it in different ways. Some think of it as a chore that they have to go through. Some, as an adventure. While others wander (or wonder) about it. I belong to the last group. Have you ever thought why we ever lived? Why we were ever born? The only certainty we have in life is death. That is the only guarantee that we have. What was the meaning of life, when all we have is death? We are all not lucky enough to be pre-destined heroes or saviours. We do not seem to have a greater destiny that we have to fulfill. We do not all have ultimate purposes in life that we absolutely must do before we die. Doesn't it make life seem bleak? It seems as if we are just like the pollen grains that are used to prove brownian motion, being moved by unseen forces but not really knowing what we are existing for. Occasionally, we interact with one another, just like how the pollen grains bump into each other but in the end, this brief contact will be lost. Why is it that humans live this kind of existence? We live rather short-sightedly. Money seem to be very important in our world. Without it, we cannot live. But with it, we also cannot live...forever at least. Human lives being referred to as candle flames is very meaningful. Candle flames are beautiful, hopeful and short. Easily snuffed by a slightest mistake. But its greatest meaning comes from the person who beholds it, who held it, who felt it. If this person was gone too, a candle flame would just be that - a candle flame. I do not understand why the inhabitants of the earth have this kind of existence. One that seems devoid of a purpose except that of the pursuit of a good present and afterlife. I do not claim to understand why we live the way we do and why people are always saying "live your life to the fullest". If there is no aim in our lives, what meaning is there in life? Even if we do have an aim in terms of career path or choice, the path will gradually become rockier and blurrer until we can no longer follow it due to aging. I do not understand why humans, out of all the different animals, plants, prokaryotes etc. were chosen to be able to think, to ponder about all these things but powerless to do anything about it. I do not understand anything...I don't think I want to.
hahahahaha. how's that. i'm not as emo as what it sounds like above lah. duh. ^-^ but then got think about it before...especially with fiona last time. And basically what i said is what i think, but not so strong.
People who sort of got offended (actually, there's no sort of) by whatever i said...(though there shouldn't be because i thought i had already "censored" it and tried to make it more neutral sounding) ... think of this as a philo essay ok? everyone has a right to believe what they want. haha..as long as they do not enforce it on others.
am i preaching?
ee. i think i forgot half of what i wrote about already. so if anyone's gonna comment anything about it............. try not to go too specific ok? =D i'm too lazy to read it again.
anyway...i think deep deep down in my heart (probably as deep as the center of the universe cause i totally don't feel this emotion =D) i feel guilty about not updating sooner. so i've decided to post 2 posts. 2! TWO! NI! LIANG GE! posts in one day. Isn't it wonderful? Ah...can you feel the love? No? whatever. Probably because you know i'm most probably going to not post for about the next month. 8_8
