hey everyone! guess who's blogging again?? wonderful ME!!! hee...sorry for not posting after the last 2...1 week and nobody read...i was desolate, there was no longer any light or purpose for me in posting anymore...i was...i was...SAD =(.
anyways...let me now tell you about my beautiful (hope you can sense the sacarsm <--i think i spelt it wrongly but whatever) experience in RMUN. i was representing germany in ga2 doing the topic of America's Extraordinary (try saying this word many times in a speech. it sucks...and are we supposed to pronounce it as extra-ordinary or extrodinary? whatever.) Rendition...which, in other words...the extradition of suspected terrorists into countries where the use of torture is legalised though it is against the UN Charter (i dunno how this can be). my darling teammates were steffanie, eileen, vanessa and ying qing(?) [sorry...i think i spelt her name wrongly...but throughout the competition i couldn't catch the second part of her name lol.] and we practically didn't see each other at all except for before starting, lunch, and after it ended. o_____0 we were stuck most of the time with people from the other "countries". so...during the duration of 3 FULL days of RMUN...i talked (formally and officially in front of everyone) ONCE and asked a question ONCE. hahaha....how wonderful of me. The time when i was asked to talk (we cannot refuse if the chair asked us to talk >.< ...guess who's the lucky one) was on the first day when i was supposed to speak for a resolution i supposedly co-submitted (subtly glares at the delegates of France and Hungary) and i was like "huh...umm...ya..." lol. basically my whole speech was like that. Didn't know that i could have repeated whatever the two of them had said before. -_____- so humiliating....a good experience (i tell myself =D) and the time i was asking the question? i don't think the person understood it. hahaha...i thus throw away all thoughts on being a Singaporean ambassador to any international (or national for that matter) organisation. but RJ was damn cold! and the temperature cannot be changed due to the central heating system (might as well call it the central cooling system)....that was why i wore stockings on the second day but then...but then...it tore while i was trying to wear it on the third day...chao suay...>.< the blazers did not do anything to make me warmer.
yup...but it was fun though. got to know lots of fun, wacky people. (no offense to whomever who coincidentally happened to be in this year's RMUN ga2 and knows who i am *gasp*) =D...and all the fun unmoderated caucus (that was the only part where i talked sort of a lot haha) which is basically a free moving session for discussion, fun right? otherwise, we were stuck in a chair as someone speaks, gets asked questions and returns back. oh...and we cannot talk, not even to the person beside you...so sad. there was also this letter passing system where you write a note to someone else, and pass it to a deputy director to deliver it to the person. before delivery, he/she would look to see if the questions were appropriate. i didn't know if we were allowed to pass notes to the person next to you. so now that it's over, i can say without being punished that the delegate of georgia and i were passing notes using the adjacent chair. though i don't see how they can punish us since we were passing the notes ourselves and not asking them to do so for us. o__0
unsurprisingly, we didn't win anything. lol. when i joined RMUN, i didn't know there were prizes! not that i really care...since i'm practically one of the worse speakers in class, the chances of me getting a prize is lower than the chances of me being able to do a 270 degrees split (i'm not anna bessanova...won't ever reach that angle unless u count the reflex angle of a 90 degrees split)... haha. anyway...i thought that RMUN was group work due to SOMEONE (who i won't name because i value my life and education but "it's" name ends with "r") and Steffanie and I actually made plans of me writing and she speaking. that was cruelly dashed without compensation.
that is the second of the "impulsive action" of the year. the first was chem comm which we (elaine, chloe, steffanie [yup the same one] and I) have yet to finish. i think ever since secondary 3...i've been losing my mind and joining stuff which i've never done before. lol.
last year it was RJC current affairs quiz and chinese songwriting competition (with Guo Jun's wonderful lyrics that won 1st). i wonder if i'm going to do anymore this year. chloe or steffanie...or anyone for that matter...please stop me if i join some weird thing.
*actually if i think about it...it is usually the 2 of you going first and asking me along... -__-" so its not really safe to ask u to stop. haha. SAVE ME!!*
i think i'm rambling a lot.
i know i'm rambling a lot, but you all love me anyway...if not why are u bothering to read all the way here?
